Standing tall beyond the pandemic!
A day dedicated to celebrating the great work of these amazing people and showing our appreciation for all that they have done and continue to do for our communities.
In line with NHS Day, we have written a poem paying tribute to all Facilities Managers in healthcare standing tall beyond the pandemic. While we stayed at home, they continued working to convert wards into temporary ICU’s, making sure patients were kept safe and staff could do their job. Standing behind the doctors and nurses fighting the good fight, they kept operations afloat and we are forever in their debt.
Our hidden FM heroes
As well as making sure that buildings are ‘open for business’, FMs are responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and building visitors. FMs also have a large influence on how efficiently employees are able to work, by providing the optimal working environment to enable employees to be highly productive.
The role of a Facilities Manager is a very varied one, with a wide range of responsibilities that contribute towards organisations such as hospitals running as smoothly as possible, which ultimately saves lives and provides critical health services.
