Concerto is delighted to announce the award of a significant new contract with Hampshire County Council, secured through the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud 11 framework. This competitive win will see Concerto replace the Council's incumbent system and support one of England's largest and most historically rich counties in modernising and optimising its property, asset and estate management processes.
Supporting a County Steeped in History and Operational Complexity
Located in the south-east of the United Kingdom, Hampshire is the seventh-largest county in England and is renowned for its deep historical roots. First settled around 14,000 years ago, Hampshire's heritage stretches back to the Roman period, with the ancient town of Winchester once serving as the capital of England. Spanning approximately 1,400 square miles, the County encompasses diverse and economically significant towns—including Farnborough and Basingstoke to the north, and the major port cities of Southampton and Portsmouth to the south.
The area is also home to a wealth of historically important assets, landmarks and cultural sites. One particularly notable example is Winchester Castle, constructed in 1067 by William the Conqueror. The castle's Great Hall is the birthplace of King Henry III and famously displays the iconic Arthurian Round Table, hung by Henry VIII. Today, this landmark remains a popular tourist attraction, housing artefacts of considerable national and historical importance. For a local authority with such a rich and varied property landscape, effective estate management is both operationally essential and culturally significant.
Modernising a Vast and Diverse Property Portfolio
Hampshire County Council will implement the full Concerto platform to manage every aspect of its wide-ranging property and asset portfolio. This includes planned and reactive maintenance, estates and asset management, capital project oversight, compliance monitoring, and long-term strategic planning. The Council's estate spans hundreds of operational and investment properties, as well as numerous buildings, heritage structures and public assets that serve communities across the County.
By adopting Concerto, the Council will be able to streamline workflows, centralise vital estate information, reduce duplication, and achieve a far more data-driven approach to decision-making. These improvements will help generate essential efficiencies, strengthen compliance and governance, and support the ongoing protection and enhancement of assets of both operational value and national heritage significance.
Concerto Business Development Director, James Heysmond, commented:
“I am delighted that the Council has awarded a contract to Concerto. Utilising the platform will support the Council in modernising its property processes, enabling essential savings and allowing them to manage their assets in a more efficient, transparent and data-centric way. We look forward to a long and productive partnership.”
