Empowering a region: How Perth & Kinross Council took control of their estate (and their data) with Concerto

Perth & Kinross Council

Managing more than 1,000 diverse sites across a rugged 2,000-mile stretch of Scotland isn't just a challenge, it's a balancing act of compliance, complexity and capital investment.

That's why Perth & Kinross Council chose Concerto.

Back in 2014, Concerto stood out not just for value, but for quality. Scoring highest in a competitive tender. And from that moment on, it's helped the Council shift from reactive processes to forward-thinking estate strategy.

Perth and kinross

One platform. One view. Total control.

From schools to flood schemes, from commercial spaces to cultural landmarks, Perth & Kinross Council needed a single platform to see, manage and optimise every asset.

With Concerto, they now have:

  • A centralised, easy-to-use system with custom dashboards
  • A single, reliable view of all assets, anywhere, anytime
  • A digital audit trail that supports accountability and transparency
  • Remote access for teams working in the field or across departments

All this, tailored to the unique demands of Scottish regulations and public sector priorities.

£600 million in capital projects, one scalable solution

Two years after go-live, the Council asked: can we do more?

The answer: absolutely.

Concerto expanded its project management module to support Perth & Kinross' £600m Capital Programme covering 180+ projects ranging from new schools to flood prevention to regeneration of public spaces.

Working closely with the Council, we developed a bespoke solution that:

  • Standardises project commissioning and monitoring
  • Tracks budget performance through to approval
  • Integrates 12 critical milestones unique to the Council's reporting framework
  • Offers clarity and consistency for stakeholders at every level

“With Concerto, we've moved from one-to-one reporting to a holistic view of projects across the estate.”

From complexity to clarity

Whether it's day-to-day asset management or multi-million-pound capital programmes, Concerto brings it all together clearly, securely, and with complete confidence.

Because making better decisions starts with seeing the full picture.
