The popularity of BIM and the demand for its inclusion during both the project management phase AND the operational management of an asset is increasing at an exponential rate across both public and private sectors.

The Concerto software suite is the first in its field and one of the very few web-based solutions to offer a complete BIM integrated and common BIM data environment from initial inception, design and build right through to operational management. PAS 1192-PART 2 and part 3 compliant, the Concerto solution can be employed as a complete ‘design to demolition’ solution, or can also be integrated with existing project or asset management systems to provide the complete package.

The Concerto Project Management solution allows project teams to effectively manage BIM data during a project. Concerto Projects provides comprehensive, full life cycle project management functionality within a common data environment. The BIM enabled, automated data validation functionality ensures the continuing quality and validity of relevant BIM data, elements that are central to the BIM Framework’s success.

Concerto Projects includes a project document management functionality, which supports PAS 1192-PART 2 and part 3 for BIM. This ensures that the data drops are valid and timely and can be accessed by any member of the project team from anywhere at the correct stage of the project.

With our flexible, in-built validation process, the Governance aspect of your project is dealt with in one central environment. This means that data validated at the initial stages can be seamlessly carried through the project and on to the FM/operative phase with the knowledge that the data used for your IFC files etcetera is up to date and correct.

BIM for FM

With 3D BIM functionality built into the Concerto Facilities Management planned and reactive maintenance module, forward planning and on-going maintenance of property assets can be made significantly more efficient and brought in line with BIM requirements.

This help desk solution currently supports many large projects such as the Manchester Town Hall, a pioneering project for BIM and UK government Soft Landings.

The Facilities Management software component of the Concerto solution can be employed as a stand alone system or integrated with the asset and / or project management solution.

One of the key barriers highlighted by many professionals in the field to a successful BIM data environment is the integrity of the data. Not only can data be flawed from the start, but over time, documentation expires and requires updates. The Concerto solution links back to BIM data to ensure documentation can be easily kept up to date over time.

“Concerto provides a highly flexible and powerful vehicle for organisations to improve the workforce productivity and quality of their back office functions involved in managing assets and projects. Our solutions allow people see the entire environment without having to jump from other pieces of viewing software and can render information within web based project environment without leaving it.

A single integrated solution also means a complete picture of what has been spent in terms of revenue and capital can be easily generated to give a full lifecycle picture of how much that asset has cost over its lifetime.
